ABOUT THE ALS ASSOCIATION
The ALS Association (ALSA) is the only national not-for-profit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). The Greater Houston Chapter of The ALS Association is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.

Mission Statement
To lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.

The ALS Association is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID # 61-1448974).

ABOUT THE HOUSTON HIDTA
The Houston HIDTA program is a unified effort by participating federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to disrupt/dismantle drug trafficking organizations in an innovative, synergistic and effective manner.

A diagnosis of Lou Gehrig’s disease is a death sentence to the patient and a radical change in life and lifestyle to both the patient and the caregiver. The ASLA supported clinic is the only place for the patient and caregiver to go to receive individual treatment for the special needs of both as the disease progresses. Your participation in this tournament will help sustain this critical support.
